Kiran Rao is Managing Director, Head of Portfolio Operations, and a member of the Management Committee at Vector Capital. He leads the Value Creation Team, overseeing operational and AI transformation across Vector's portfolio.

Prior to joining Vector, Kiran spent five years at Vista Equity Partners, where he helped lead a 150-person portfolio operations team driving value creation across nearly 100 enterprise software companies. He also led the firm's AI task force and served on the boards of PowerSchool and Greenway Health.

Kiran previously spent over a decade at TPG Capital as an Operating Partner on the Technology Sector team, serving on the boards of more than ten portfolio companies including Digital.ai, WellSky, and EverFi. Before TPG, he was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company. He began his career in Silicon Valley at Cisco Systems, Accenture, and Asera, a Kleiner Perkins-backed software startup.

Kiran holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
